CONTRADICOES NO RESTAURANT
As the tittle says, it´s a No Restaurant Place to chill out and eat!.
What a weird thing to listen and see, why people can sit down and grab a drink and a meal, if its not a restaurant...well, that place is located in a underground floor, next to Feiras das Almas, which is a very nice and vintage market very hidden in Lisbon.
After having a walk there to see what they got, we were as usual starvings...
So, we walk just 100 metres in the same street, under a bridge and we saw so many tables and chairs outside a garage. We thought that probably could be a bar or snack place, so we went inside to have a look. The outside is a simple vintage and old fashioned garage, with normal chairs and tables out the street.
As the entrace says, is not a restaurant, but they sell food and drinks. The appearance is not good looking, looks dirty and messy and the beggining, but really bohemian style.
The kitchen is wuiet old, with a fire oven, but honestly they prepare very nice meals, cos all of them are fresh and handmade.
The decoration as well is very original, and they put everything that they found in their closet, was so funny to see shoes on top of a entrace and also holding notes and spoons or forks....what a crazy thing!
If the weather is as sunny as we had, and you are lucky, just chill out outside, was lovely to eat there and get a little of tan. Just whatever you wanna eat you have to order inside and they tell you how many minutes will take to pick it, " remember is a no restaurant so no waiters".
Inside, front of the kitchen is a lovely place with a piano, guitar and a sofa.
That was the kitchen, you can see when you are ordering your meal, and also watching the way the cook it, everything completly fresh.
And here we are!!! the fresh handmade thin pizza, cost just 2.50 pounds and is a big portion so really goood and very delicious!.
The drinks are 0.50 cents.
Also they make sopas, salads and sandwiches.
The creepy thing that I found from that place is, well....they say is a no restaurant, so they dont have waiters, and you have to take your stuff inside, and also wash them. I laughed so much when i saw the queue of customers waiting with dishes to wash them.
Very good, you feel like at home.
I really liked it, and also is cheaper than eat in a normal place or restaurant.
Enjoy every place you visit, and never say no to explore and discover new locations, new cultures and new ways to live and eat.
